For Incorporated Professionals
A Plan that allows incorporated professionals to provide a health benefits package to its
- employees, and/or
- officers and directors
that enables the corporation to "self insure" some or all of the benefit elements of the plan in conformity with CCRA (Income Tax laws and regulations) to permit the cost of the plan to be a deductible business expense to the incorporated business and not be a taxable benefit to the employee.The plan needs to be within a Health and Welfare Trust arrangement.
Within the scope of Tax regulations the plan is
- entirely employer design driven, with
- employer set minimums and maximums
- employer set benefit inclusion or exclusion
- employer set elements "employer funded" or "insured"~
